Cloud Innovation Center

The Busan CIC, which opened in November 2016, is the first cloud innovation center established in the world. Co-launched by both the city of Busan and AWS, the Center is located at the Centum Campus of Dongseo University. The Busan CIC Main Center accelerates the growth of cloud-based start-ups and provides cloud-related training programs to the public. Since its opening, the Main Center has provided more than 250 cloud consulting sessions, trained over 1,100 cloud experts and supported more than 150 start-ups through its Start-up Program. In addition, it also provides start-up members opportunities to participate in public innovation opportunities. Most recently, start-ups Nuvi Labs and One Data Technology used 3-D printing technology to analyze food waste amount and type, leading to data that could optimize food menu and lessen food waste in the Zero Waste, Zero Hunger campaign.
